Halloween at HMC is always a fun day. A lot of people participate and dress up for the occasion. This year Darlene and I decided to be 19th century British street urchins. A little strange, I know, but we got the idea from a Saturday Night Live skit. Our idea then transformed into "Newsies" - young boys who sold newspapers in the early 20th century, who sang and danced while selling them. Then, Darlene made a sandwich board sigh that said "Lost it all in the stock market, recession 08" We told people that we have left Wall Street and decided to come to Ontario to seek our fortunes. I think we were the only ones to laugh at our costumes!
Another funny costume was by Jarrett and Danielle who decided to dress up as salt and pepper shakers. Jarrett brought his portable iPod speakers and played Salt n Pepa's "Push It" while the judges watched. I thought that it was really funny when he showed us how salt can be shaken!
