Life has been crazy since Scotty has arrived. Daniel and I hardly get to have a conversation because he takes care of Charlie and I take care of Scotty. We have been lucky to have had two opportunities to have a private dinner with each other in the last month. I think we are going to have to make it a priority to have a "date night" once a month - even if it is to Bob's Big Boy! (We went there for our anniversary)
Charlie is getting more comfortable with the baby. When we first brought him home Charlie said, "ewww" to the sight of the baby. Now he always looks for the baby and gets Scott's pacifier whenever he sees it. We have to remind him, of course, to be nice and gentle with the baby. Sometimes Charlie will give Scotty a kiss and it is just too cute!
I haven't tried to take them both somewhere by myself yet (except for the park that I walk to) That will definitely be a challenge! Charlie is in that lovely stage called "the terrible two's" Sometimes he makes it impossible to do anything, but I try to remember that I am the one in charge - not him!
Scotty is a good baby - so far! He has the appetite of Andre the Giant - he eats about every hour and a half. I am up about every two hours at night and I am eagerly looking forward to the night that he sleeps all the way through!! He gained two pounds in two weeks due to his eating! When I took him to the doctor's office at three weeks, Dr. D'Sylva mentioned that his circumcision went nicely and that he has a nice looking wee wee (as she put it) I guess she was just proud of her work!
Charlie is in desperate need of a haircut...
