The San Diego Zoo

Every time I have been to San Diego in the summer it has been cold, and I always think to myself - who would want to live here? It's ALWAYS cold!! That was not the case yesterday when we took the boys to their first trip to the zoo. It was about 85 degrees, but not as bad as it was here - around 100!

Ever since Charlie was born I wanted to take him to the zoo. We could never find the time until now and I'm glad that we waited. If he went when he was younger he probably wouldn't have appreciated it as much. He really enjoyed seeing all of the animals that we always read about in books. When he would see the animals he would say "more." He was also infatuated with the buses there too! Every time he saw a bus he would yell "there's the bus!!" or "bye bus!" I don't know what it is with kids and public transportation!

We took our dual stroller and our "kid leash" to cover all the bases for Charlie's transportation. He actually walked with us about 90% of the time! He's been getting good at holding hands and walking with us. I certainly thought that he would take off running into the crowd, but he was a good boy and walked with us.

We will definitely go to the zoo again! I'm sure that Charlie will start to say "mommie! zoo!"
